My apologies for not updating last week … super busy week! This week is going to be short–been sick and definitely not taking pictures looking like this!!!
So in week 18 the baby’s genitals might be visible on an ultrasound–very exciting! It means we’re going to have to be super careful during my next ultrasound since we don’t want to know the gender!
I originally had a feeling it was a girl but have now had two dreams it is a boy so who knows!
Baby is now 5 1/2 inches long!! That’s huge! And weighs almost 7 ounces (i.e. almost 1/2 a pound!).
I wrote before about a very scary dream I had. So I was really happy to go to the doctor last Friday and hear that heartbeat …. probably not a surprise that I teared up. It was such a relief!
Just today I discovered a new symptom: I am having this buzzing in my pelvis. Imagine if your cell phone rang while on your pelvis … that’s what it feels like. I did some online research and it seems like baby is hitting a nerve. I guess that’s technically the first non-sick experience I’ve had of baby.
How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain? Down this week, up .9lbs overall (on Friday according to my doctor’s scale I had gained 5lbs. According to my scale around 3 lbs but because I’m sick I lost a bit. I imagine it will go back up once I’m better and hungry again.)
Sleep: Getting up to pee twice a night! However starting Saturday night I got sick and now I get up even more frequently … because I can’t breath. Kind of an important thing!
Best moment this week? Hearing the heartbeat after such a horrible dream!
Movement? Technically no. But I do have those vibrations on and off which could count…
Food cravings? I’m really craving a BK whopper … I know it isn’t good for me though :-/
Labor signs? Nope
Belly button in or out? In!
What I miss? Sleeping through the night … but that’s more cold related than pregnancy.
What I’m nervous about? I would have said my doctor’s appointment last week but now I’m going with the standby: getting our home decluttered and organized to fit baby (I foresee this being the a nervous thing for a WHILE)
What I’m looking forward to? 20 weeks ultrasound to see TLO again!!!
